Programming and activities board

The Programming and Activities Board (PAB) is the largest student-run club at Arizona State University. Contrary to popular belief, our club actually has nothing to do with computers, but has everything to do with event planning! We host anything from small movie night events to football tailgates, and university-wide events like music festivals. Through PAB, I gained experience in various aspects of events, including budgeting, customer service, event conceptualization, marketing, and leadership.

Director

As Vice President of Programs, I provided mentorship and guidance to three PAB Directors, supervising the planning of 50+ campus-wide events.. This included support with PAB/ASU event planning regulations and ensuring that all responsibilities were met. In PAB, the V.P. of Programs is the only role that works in committees and on the executive team, bridging communication between both parties. Additionally, I had the opportunity to host our Homecoming Comedy Show starring Marcello Hernandez and Amir K.

associate Director

As a Director for PAB, I led and mentored a committee of 15+ interns and executed 18 campus-wide events. Our events ranged from movie nights to large-scale events in which we developed our own unique concepts including Neon Nights with DJ Mandy and an ASU Haunted House.

The most rewarding part of being a director was definitely mentoring interns and seeing their growth. Being in this role made me realize the importance of creating a culture with the team I work with. For this reason, I made it a goal to help my team discover their passion and their “why” for being in the club. At the end of the school year, I helped many of my interns transition into new positions in PAB, which was incredibly fulfilling.

Vice president of programs

Devilpalooza is ASU’s Spring Music Festival and has featured artists like Steve Aoki, Chase Atlantic, and Kesha. As Associate Director, I served as the right-hand person to our Director, hosting our highest attended Devilpalooza yet (10,236 students). This year, we hosted DJ Diesel, Green Matter, and various student performers. In this role, I oversaw our sponsorship and activations committees and led the artist hospitality team. My responsibilities included managing artist riders, green rooms, backstage logistics, record keeping, and mentoring our festival teams.
